Brave for Bowen
In June, Bowen’s life changed suddenly when he was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor. The tumor was later identified as a rare cancer called Choroid Plexus Carcinoma. Since then, Bowen has been receiving specialized treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where he has courageously faced months of care away from home.
While Bowen and his mom have been living on campus during treatment, his dad has been holding things together at home with Bowen’s two older brothers — balancing school, activities, and the daily realities of having part of their family miles away. The journey has required incredible strength from all of them.
Bowen’s family first heard about The Millie Moo Foundation through a news story, and we are so grateful that connection was made. We were honored to assist their family by helping cover a portion of their mortgage, easing some of the financial pressure so they could focus on what matters most — Bowen’s healing.
Today, we are overjoyed to share that Bowen has completed his final rounds of chemotherapy and his MRI came back clean. He will soon be heading home — a milestone worth celebrating.
To Bowen and his family, we continue to cheer you on as this next chapter begins.
And to our donors and community — thank you. Your generosity allows us to walk alongside families like Bowen’s during some of their hardest days. This support simply would not be possible without you.
