Ellie’s Story
After a complicated pregnancy and a NICU stay following her premature birth, Ellie’s family was finally settling into life at home when they received devastating news — Ellie was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), a rare form of childhood cancer. What began as a small rash quickly turned into countless appointments, testing, procedures, and now ongoing chemotherapy treatments.
Despite everything she has endured, Ellie continues to be a bright and smiling little fighter.
With weekly trips to the hospital, mounting medical expenses, time away from work, and the need to protect Ellie’s immune system, the financial and emotional burden on their family has been overwhelming. Through Millie’s Light Lives On: Family Assistance Program, the Millie Moo Foundation was honored to provide support toward their mortgage to help ease some of that stress during this incredibly difficult season.
Ellie’s mom shared that if their story can help spread awareness or support another family navigating childhood illness, then sharing it is worth it — and we couldn’t agree more.
Please keep Ellie, her big brother, and her parents in your thoughts as they continue this fight.
