Ayla’s Story
On January 4, 2024, Ayla was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She turned two years old in the hospital and is now approaching her fourth birthday — a milestone filled with strength, courage, and resilience far beyond her years.
At diagnosis, Ayla and her family spent 19 nights in the hospital. Since then, she has undergone multiple spinal taps, blood transfusions, and began chemotherapy immediately. Her treatment plan spans just over two years and includes daily medications, additional surgeries, and continued monitoring. While Ayla is currently nearing the end of active treatment, she still has more ahead — including two surgeries, ongoing chemotherapy, and monthly labs for another year.
Navigating this journey as a family of five has been incredibly challenging, but Ayla continues to show incredible strength as they move forward.
Ayla’s family is located in Arizona — across the country from us — and learned about the Millie Moo Foundation through Facebook, a powerful reminder of how impactful sharing truly is and how far Millie’s story continues to reach.
Because of donor support, the Millie Moo Foundation was able to help ease some of the family’s financial burden by assisting with their mortgage payment, allowing them to focus on Ayla’s care during this incredibly difficult season.
This support — and the ability to reach families like Ayla’s — is only possible because of our donors and those who continue to share our mission. Thank you for helping us stand beside families when they need it most
