Evan

As fellow farming families, the King family’s story hits especially close to home.

In 2023, they fulfilled a longtime dream of moving to a 6-acre hobby farm, where 7-year-old Evan quickly became one of the hardest workers around—hauling hay, collecting eggs, and helping care for their animals. Life was busy, challenging, and rewarding.

Just six months later, everything changed.

After experiencing extreme fatigue and high fevers, Evan was diagnosed with leukemia and rushed to a children’s hospital for immediate treatment. To ensure he could receive the care he needed, the family made the heartbreaking decision to sell their dream homestead and move closer to the hospital.

Over the past two years, the Kings have faced countless appointments, hospital stays, lost income, and the challenges of raising six children while navigating pediatric cancer. Through it all, they’ve continued to fight with incredible strength and resilience.

The Millie Moo Foundation was honored to assist the King family by helping pay their mortgage during a particularly difficult time, easing some of the financial burden so they could focus on what mattered most—Evan and his care.
