Luke was born with a heart condition and underwent a successful procedure at just 4 days old. Shortly after, genetic testing revealed a mutation that put him at high risk for cancer. At only a few months old, Luke was diagnosed with retinoblastoma in both eyes.
Since then, he has undergone months of chemotherapy and continues to receive regular exams under anesthesia as part of his ongoing care. At just 15 months old, Luke has already faced more than most do in a lifetime — yet his story is one of strength, resilience, and hope.
Luke and his family are traveling to UIC in Chicago for his care, showing that the reach of the Millie Moo Foundation continues to grow beyond our immediate community. We are grateful to be able to support families not only locally, but wherever this journey takes them.
With frequent appointments and time away from work, everyday needs like gas and food quickly become a burden. We are thankful to help ease that stress so Luke’s family can focus on what matters most — his health and continued progress.
